So true. Tobias has recently written a piece on the matter.

Correctly saying that "We are not wired to thrive in chaos."

However, too much discipline then threaten liberation.

In the end, it is always about "The middle way" that Zen practitioners know every well! So easy to understand, so tough to apply.

Livio, I can relate. I, too, struggle to keep things that are good for me at the forefront of consciousness. I will try changing my perspective to "keep it special." Thanks for the suggestion. D

Yeah. And remember why we have started them in the first place. Reminding us we can still discontinue them anytime. So we can remove the pressure and stick only with what is truly nourishing.

I find that mixing up the way I implement those healthy habits helps - like changing my exercise routine and fixing different healthy meals. It adds a little spice to otherwise mundane, but needed, activities for aging well.

Effectively, when I change yoga sequence or meditation technique, the routine starts to feel new again. And more pleasurable. Spot on!

"Lighter, faster, better, stronger" is indeed a nice song.

Ah no, wait. It was "Harder, faster, better, stronger".

And I am not sure I wold associate these adjectives to a good habit. At least, not all of them at the same time!
